Intravenous sedation provides profound anxiety relief and relaxation during dental procedures. The sedative is given through a vein in the arm or back of the hand. The patient drifts off into a state of drowsiness; time seems to pass very quickly.

A sedated patient has their breathing, heart rate, blood pressure and blood oxygen levels constantly monitored and is always under the care of a second Dentist (separate from the one performing your procedure). After IV (Intravenous) sedation, you will need someone to take you home, and you will be groggy for several hours. It is better to allow yourself the rest of the day to recover.

Use our ‘Happy Gas’ during your dental treatment!

We offer ‘Happy Gas’ / Nitrous Oxide at Finesse Dental

Did you know that Finesse Dental can provide ‘Happy Gas’ aka Nitrous Oxide (N2O) for temporary comfort and sedation for those who have fears and anxiety during dental treatment?

‘Happy Gas’ is a safe, colourless and odourless gas that is inhaled in small amounts via a small nasal inhaler. It is an effective way to help you feel calm and relaxed during treatment.

Our qualified dental practitioners will walk you through the process, so all you need to do is focus on improving your smile and oral health.

Don’t let your anxiety put you off from visiting us and achieving your health and smile goals.
